I introduced some advantages of Canon EOS digital camera in Why You need Canon EOS Rebel Digital Camera and get the final conclusion that you should own a Canon EOS. Today, let’s going on show more argument.

Why Buy Canon EOS Digital Cameras? the ansers is Canon EOS are suitable for everyone.

Canon EOS Comprising Multi-level Cameras

Let’s spanning the early 1Ds Mark III and 1D Mark III, Canon EOS 5D Digital SLR Camera, Canon EOS 40D Digital SLR Camera, Canon EOS 50D Digital SLR Camera, Canon Digital Rebel XTi/XI/XSi, Canon EOS digital cameras offer amazing quality, functionality and the latest technology all at great prices.

The Canon EOS digital cameras line comprises cameras that will meet your digital photography needs no matter your level of expertise. Professionals and novice photographers alike rave about the Canon digital cameras and the excitement about this line of products shows no signs of dimming.

The Canon EOS digital cameras range in features and prices greatly, leaving a choice for everyone.

For example, the Canon EOS Rebel XT features high quality imagery with 8 mega pixels for tremendous details in every single image captured. This camera offers many controls to take photography anywhere you want it to, but automates them so using the camera is a snap. Canon EOS digital cameras are user friendly.

Canon also offers a wide range of accessories and lenses which expand the functionality of each camera. A wide range of optional lenses are available which offer endless possibilities for your digital photography.

When you own a Canon EOS digital camera, you can instantly become one of those people whose pictures everyone admires.

Canon EOS are easy to use

With each step up the line of the Canon digital cameras there is increased functionality, improved performance and added ability to take your photographs to the next level. From improved control over shutter speed and mechanisms to automated focus features, Canon never disappoints with its cameras.

Canon EOS’ compatibility

Canon EOS digital cameras are extremely popular among professional and novice photographers not just for their quality and price, but also for their compatibility.

With constant changes in computers and operating systems, it’s comforting to know that Canon maintains current drivers and applications for the EOS digital cameras so you can access and manipulate your digital photos at your leisure.

Canon EOS digital cameras can be embellished with macro lenses, (to make small items larger, clearly) wide angle lenses (to fit more of the scenery into the photo, in focus) and telephoto lenses.

Above are my advice for you and I think the only question are not that why Buy Canon EOS, you should ask youself that which Canon EOS digital Camera to buy. It’s another question.

In Canon 5D Mark II Firmware 2.0.4 Bug post, I share a firmware bug confirmed by 5D2Team. But there are some opposition view. Today I find two video in Yourtube, which is a good example about Canon 5D Mark II Firmware 2.0.4 Bug.

Let’s description the bug step by step. The Canon 5D Mark II in video Configured Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro USM lens.

Sorry for the poor quality, it was recorded with a P&S camera in “macro” mode.

1-These settings are the correct ones to have “full manual control” on movie/video mode. So the IRIS shifting should NOT happen in this situation, and in fact it does not happen in firmware version 1.1.0.

2- This video doesn’t show the IRIS shifting so clearly as when you see the LCD by yourself, but you can notice the iris changes if you watch it carefully.

3- Please note that the aperture is always kept at the same value (F/3.2). In this video we only changed focus. You can also see below Video which shows what can be seen on the camera’s LCD monitor during this process:

May you want to say the reason is Canon digital camera, not Firmware 2.0.4 Bug. But author have received some reports about 3rd party lenses having similar problems (“weird noises” coming from the iris) and/or iris/diaphragm inconsistencies experienced with firmware 2.0.4. Other lenses may suffer this issue too.

How about your Canon EOS 5D Mark II?

The Canon EOS 5D Mark II has been a huge success since its release. Read Canon EOS 5D Mark II Review [Video].

Thanks for extraordinary effort of Canon engineers, Firmware 2.0.4 is really a great update. But after many deep tests, some guys have found and confirmed there’s a bug/malfunction in this firmware.

It is not normal, and should not happen.

When a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens is mounted on the Canon 5D Mark II and the user manually changes focus (rotates focus ring), the lens changes the iris/aperture “by itself”, even when the digital camera is in full manual mode.

It happens in PAL and NTSC modes and does NOT happen with Firmware version 1.1.0.

This bug have been tested by several users with many copies on many digital camera bodies, so it’s not an isolated lens problem.

We use Canon digital camera gear and we love it. That’s why we try to do our best in the most constructive possible way to encourage Canon to give the best features and results to their customers.

We understand that this firmware update is a hard work. But maybe there weren’t given enough resources to support this extraordinary effort made by Canon engineers.

It’s the priority that Canon fix this problem immediately. Which could be a great opportunity for Canon to add these features and keep it as a best seller for even longer time.

In August 2005, Canon EOS 5D released and it unlike any previous ‘full frame’ sensor camera. Canon EOS 5D is the first with a compact body and not having an integral vertical grip, Canon said it defined a new DSLR category.

People like a full frame DSLR to use with Canon lenses and they begin to be tired of the chunky EOS-1D style body. For these reason and Canon EOS 5D is the only choice at that time, it become very popular from birth.

Three years on and two competitors have turned up in the shape of the Nikon D700 and Sony DSLR-A900, and Canon clearly believes it’s time for a refresh. So here is the Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

There are some resolution and features of Canon EOS 5D Mark II you must notice:

21 megapixel CMOS sensor (very similar to the sensor in the EOS-1Ds Mark III),

Movie recording in live view (1080p H.264 up to 12 minutes, VGA H.264 up to 24 mins per clip),

3.0″ 920,000 dot LCD monitor with ‘Clear View’ cover / coatings, 170° viewing angle

Live view

higher capacity battery (1800 mAh)

Since the emergence of Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon aims to leapfrog both its direct rivals, either in terms of resolution (in the case of the Nikon’s D700) or features (in the case of the Sony DSLR-A900).

And there are a applied show in Youtube.

photographer Robert Vasquez share a video about Canon EOS 5D Mark ll review, Robert takes shows some of the features of the Canon EOS 5D Mark ll in action and expresses his love for this awesome camera.
